USA Softball has retained the services of Protect Youth Sports to provide timely background check screenings and all of its background checks are processed online through RegisterUSASoftball.com. Background checks conducted by USA Softball are for the sole purpose of determining eligibility for USA Softball sanctioned events and are not used for employment screening. Local organizing bodies may conduct their own background screening and interviews to determine member eligibility in their programs.
All bench personnel including scorekeepers must have a background check completed through USA Softball.
In order to participate as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Team Manager on any CGAA In House team we are required to collect the following information in order to perform a background check annually.
This background check will access a number of databases in order to provide the information required to approve you, protect the Association, conform to our insurance requirements, conform to the City of Cottage Grove guidelines and protect our players.
Please be as complete as possible in providing the requested information. Your actual name must be used - nicknames or abbreviated versions are not acceptable for the purpose intended. There must be some information in each field to proceed with registration. If there is no information to provide insert "none" in the field.
Convictions of any of the following crimes will mean that you are NOT eligible to be a Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Team Manager for any CGAA team.
